SourceFM supports the Christmas Tree Festival

Hayley May (SourceFM General Manager) and Janice Rose decorate the trees

The Grand Switch-on event for the Falmouth Christmas Tree Festival, kindly sponsored by A&P Falmouth, started at 5:30 pm on Sunday 3rd December with choir singing in the Garden Room, followed by the light switch on by A&P apprentices, accompanied by The Mayor of Falmouth, Kirstie Edwards, at 6pm.

A free Brass Band Carol Concert in The Garden Room followed from 6.15pm – 7.30pm to complete the evening’s entertainment with the bar open, serving drinks, mince pies, hot chocolate and mulled cider.

Twenty-seven community groups from in and around Falmouth have each decorated a tree with the theme of ‘Peace and Joy’.

The ‘Tree of Wishes’ will again be available for people to remember loved  ones or make a wish for the future. All donations will go to the charity The Children’s Sailing Trust

The trees will be open to view until 2nd January so if you didn't make the grand switch on, you can still go and view them!

And SourceFM had the pleasure of having a tree in the festival this year, decorated by Hayley May, Janice Rose and Jimmy Miller
