Biography

Songs from the Backroom is exactly that, a weekly trawl through the shelves and  sleeves of the backroom, revisiting some classic radio sessions, favourite tracks and rare songs as well as a selection of new releases and perhaps the odd track to re-introduce artists that somehow missed the boat.

Regular features on the show include the ’And Much More Besides’ slot, a weekly moment to reflect on the sometimes overlooked 7” B side. ‘A Moment With Dudley or Dusty’ also makes a regular appearance.

Songs from the Backroom hosts sessions and interviews with local musicians as well as those visiting Falmouth. In Nov 2011 Jules was delighted to welcome Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze) and his band into the studio for a live session and interview.

Jules combines his day job as Head Gardener of Kimberley Park with his passion for live music. Parklive founded in 2012 is a free event running every last Sunday of the month from April through to September.

Source FM is committed to bringing Parklive to our community, showcasing local musicians and performers. Many thanks to the team, all the performers and the fantastic support from Falmouth Town Council and Sponsors.

You can tune in to Songs from the Backroom every Thursday between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.
